Giving Fund: Fighting Poverty
Our Giving Fund: Fighting Poverty is the most flexible way to support demonstrably high-impact charities. It is modeled after the All Grants Fund of the renowned research institute GiveWell. Through thousands of hours of research, the institute investigates which charities save or improve the most lives per euro donated. GiveWell recommends the “All Grants Fund” as the “best option for donors who want to support the most promising opportunities GiveWell has found to help people.”
Like GiveWell, we believe that donating to the fund is the best way to do as much good as possible in the fight against poverty. The fund takes a variety of approaches to achieve the greatest possible impact - for example, by funding the best aid organizations (especially the GiveWell “Top Charities”), by promoting and scaling new programs that GiveWell considers particularly promising, or by funding accompanying research.
Why choose a Giving Fund at all?
The Donation Fund is the easiest way to maximize the impact of your donation. Together with GiveWell’s experts, we take the decision of having to choose between effective organizations within the subject area off your hands. If you are interested in making a regular donation, the fund ensures that you support the most promising initiatives at any given time without having to regularly review your donation. You can find more information in our article “What are donation funds?”.
