Our chatbot makes it possible

Since Effektiv Spenden was founded 5 years ago, we have compiled an abundance of information on the subject of demonstrably impactful donations. If you would like to find out more about our findings and thoughts, you can first take a look at our website. If you still have specific questions, you are always welcome to call us.

For many donors, however, picking up the phone presents a significant barrier, especially if they don’t yet know us personally. When it comes to donations, there also could be the concern that the person on the other end might start shaking the collection tin. However, many of you may still be interested in a non-binding conversation because it offers a different way to engage than just reading one page full of text after another.

Talk to us at any time without any obligation …

To meet this demand, we have developed a chatbot that allows you to discuss the topic of donations at any time of day or night.

What can it do and what can’t it do? In its first version 1.0, our chatbot primarily accesses the information that we have compiled on our website. It already knows our main texts and blog posts, but does not yet have access to all the information. Beyond the website, his knowledge is limited. He knows about our research partners, but is not yet able to provide detailed information about them. He is also aware of some of our recommendations that go beyond the website, but quickly reaches his limits when it comes to detailed questions.

… and recommend the chatbot

Some of our donors have become real fans of our work and are therefore keen to recommend us to others. It’s quite possible that a reference to our chatbot will do more than if you just redirect people to our website. If you feel the same way, please feel free to recommend our chatbot to others.

What’s next?

The chatbot is still young and still has a lot to learn. We are therefore looking forward to your feedback on how we can make it even better (the fact that the underlying AI models are also constantly improving helps, of course).

Our aim is to give every interested donor the opportunity to discuss the topic of impactful donations in a non-binding conversation. However, talking to the chatbot does not replace talking to us. Therefore: Before you make any major donation decisions, please call us in person as well!

You can currently talk to our chatbot in the following languages: German, English, French, Italian and Dutch.

If the chatbot is too long-winded to answer you, you can simply interrupt it and ask your next question. And don’t be surprised if it sometimes takes a few seconds to think. The maximum conversation time with it is initially set to 15 minutes.

Feel free to tell us about your experiences! Especially if you have the impression that the chatbot is talking nonsense. We rely on your feedback to continuously develop it further.
