Mieux Donner - a new partnership

We are happy to announce a new partnership with Mieux Donner, a new effective giving organization working in France and French-speaking Switzerland.

Mission

Mieux Donner is dedicated to helping donors find the best charities so that their donations can make a real difference. Like Effective Giving, Mieux Donner uses scientific studies and analysis from independent experts to recommend the most effective organizations worldwide.

Founding history

Mieux Donner was founded in July 2024 by Romain Barbe and Jennifer Stretton, following successful completion of Ambitious Impact’s charity incubation program. This competitive three month program was coined “Hogwarts for do-gooders”. It takes entrepreneurs from around the world, matches them with a co-founder and helps them to set up a charity. Our Managing Director Anne Schulze spent a week at the Ambitious Impact office in June to mentor the co-founders, including Romain and Jennifer. Romain and Jennifer successfully applied for 95,000 US dollars to found Mieux Donner. Their ambitious goal is to raise 1 million US dollars in donations in the first year.

Mieux Donner currently recommends charities focused on global health and development, animal welfare, and climate change. Mieux Donner is completely independent, and 100% of the funds raised through the platform go directly to the charities they recommend.

Collaboration

We are collaborating with Mieux Donner in three important areas:

1. Mieux Donner promotes effective giving in French-speaking Switzerland and encourages potential donors to donate via our donation platform so that they have the opportunity to make tax-exempt donations in Switzerland to the charities recommended by Mieux Donner.
2. Mieux Donner offers our Giving Fund: Safeguarding the Future and all donations made through Mieux Donner are allocated by Effective Donations to enable donors in France to donate to reduce existential risks. This is the first offer in France aimed at donors who are concerned about existential risks.
3. Ongoing mentorship to help them scale quickly.

There is currently very little content available online in French about effective giving and how to choose the best charities. We are therefore very happy to support Mieux Donner and believe the collaboration will result in many lives saved and improved.
